To start generating, you need to prepare a dxf file with at least 2 elements on the appropriate layers:

  • CheckZone area, and BuildingZone area:

    • CheckZone is an area for balancing building coverage, floor area ratio, etc..

    • BuildingZone is the area in which buildings will be located.

  1. All polylines should be on the appropriate layers and drawn in meters.

  2. In order to ensure the precision of the program, all these objects should be close to the beginning of the coordinate system.

  3. When saving or exporting a dxf file, pay attention to whether the program converts polylines into broken lines or splines.

  4. For example, in Rhino 3d when exporting to DXF, select the “2007 polylines” profile.

  5. The easiest way to prepare such a file is to download a sample dxf file and customize it.

  6. In addition, you can add such objects as:

    • Excluded Zone - the area you want to exclude from the building area (it can be green area, water, etc.).

    • Building_x - the outline of the building, where X is the height of the building in meters (e.g. Building_12.5, is a building with a height of 12.5m).
